Nine Fins’ swimmers qualified for this age group event which was open to swimmers between the ages of 12 and 18 inclusive. The swimmers competed in a total of 36 swims, recording 24 PBs and winning two silver and one bronze medal plus a total of seventeen finalists or equivalent, 400m and over events were designated as heat declared winners.

Adam Selbie, 14 boys, won a silver medal in the 100m backstroke, finishing just 0.55 seconds behind RuaidhrA Vick of Warrender Baths, and a bronze medal in the 200m backstroke, behind Austin Macpherson of Garioch and Aiden Anderson, Aberdeen Dolphins.

Adam had the top performance for Fins in his 200m backstroke where a 0.93 second PB moved him from 4th to 3rd in the Fins long course rankings. Despite some larger PBs by the swimmers they didn’t always convert to a rise in the rankings. However, Adams other movements were 9th to 8th in the 400m freestyle with a 5.06 seconds PB; 14th to 10th in the 200m individual medley with a 4.02 second PB; and from 18th to 11th in the 100m freestyle with a 1.99 seconds PB.
