In the girls’ rankings the current record is held by Nicola Lamb with a time of 2 minutes 18.27 seconds, recorded at the Scottish National Short Course Championships in December 2012.

There are two swimmers from the current squads in the top 50 rankings.

Erin Taylor is in 17th place with a time of 2 minutes 31.38 seconds set at the Fife Leagues in February 2020. A one second improvement would move Erin up three places.

The other swimmer is Irys Blair in 42nd place with a time of 2 minutes 39.99 seconds set at Swim West Lothian IM Tough Meet in February this year. A one second improvement for Irys would mover her up to 37th place.

Those swimmers aspiring to enter the top 50 rankings require to better a time of 2 minutes 42.85 seconds.

 

In the boys’ rankings the record is held by Nicola’s brother, Jordan Lamb, with a time of 2 minutes 6.46 seconds, recorded on the same day as Nicola at the Scottish National Short Course Championships in December 2012.

As with the girls, there are two simmers from the current squads in the top 50 rankings.

Blair Wardlaw is in 22nd place with a time of 2 minutes 22.98 seconds set at the Fife Leagues in February 2020. A one second improvement would move Blair up two places.

The other swimmer is Ben Lewis in 28th place with a time of 2 minutes 24.50 seconds set at the East District Age Group Championships in January 2020. A one second improvement from Ben would move him up one place.

 

Those swimmers aspiring to enter the top 50 rankings require to better a time of 2 minutes 34.16 seconds.

In the current squads, Jennifer Gordon is less than two seconds from gaining a place, and in the boys’ Adam Selbie is the closest but needs to improve by exactly 7 seconds, or better.
