Fins’ swimmer, Arran Stowe, made it a hattrick of Scottish Open Water Grand Prix wins when he won the 5 Kilometre event at the North District Open Water Championship leg held at Loch Morlich, Aviemore, last weekend, beating last year’s winner by almost 2 minutes.

The overall Grand Prix winner is decided by a swimmer’s best four placings in the series. There are still five events to go, with four of them to be decided at the Scottish Open Water Championships, held over two days, in three weeks’ time, near Callander, with the final event at Loch Ken, Dumfries and Galloway, at the beginning of September.
