Nine Fins’ swimmers made the trip to Prestonpans to compete in the ELST Age Group Meet, held in the Mercat Gait Centre.

The swimmers competed in a total of 23 swims, 14 of which resulted in a PB, which is down a bit, but still reasonable at a 61% improvement rate, gaining 3 – 1st; 3 – 2nd; and 1 -3rd place, plus a further 7 swims finishing in the top 10.

The majority of the swimmers participating at Prestonpans do not reach the entry times for the Fins; all-time top 50 rankings and of those who do only one made an impact plus another who, despite recording a PB did not change their position in the rankings.

Fins’ top swimmer at the ELST meet was Ethan Pate, 14 years male, who won both the 200m and 400m freestyle, and was runner-up in both the 200 fly and 400m individual medley.
