The purpose of a time trial is to give the swimmers the opportunity to improve on existing times so that they may qualify for higher level competitions or, to record a time in a stroke and distance that they haven’t swam in previously.
As all age groups are all mixed up in each event, a swimmers finishing position is irrelevant so in this report all non PBs will be ignored although if any swimmer that did not record a PB , but finished high up in the places will be recognised.
The statistics for Fins’ swimmers show that there were 17 swimmers competing in 52 swims, 36 of which were PBs, including 10 first time swims.
